Facebook has always been a target of PHISHING SCAMS, this is because it is so popular with multitude number of users. More users means more possible victims unwittingly broadcasting their vital information and personal details to cyber-criminals.

Fake websites whose almost identical to the original website are created attempting to fool users to enter details like credit card numbers, validation numbers, email passwords, user accounts and other important information.

Facebook is so popular today because of its built in applications. If you’re a Facebook user I am sure you are familiar with its addictive games, built in messaging system, photo uploading capabilities, video sharing and the list goes on. But are you aware that there are viruses lurking out there for a new victim!

We can all agree as a Facebook user that it has almost all the cool things we could possibly ask for a social website but not including viruses. Social website Viruses can compromise our privacy and sensitive information without knowing. It not just Facebook that is the target of this malicious worms or applications but other social websites as well. Koobface (Anagram for “Facebook”) worm virus which appeared in August 2008 found its way into the Facebook and began causing havoc across the network. It targets the users of the social networking websites Facebook, MySpace, hi5, Bebo, Friendster and Twitter.

This news really saddens me. I fell in love with Taiwan from the first time I set foot on this place. Taiwan is really a very nice place with great culture and disciplined people. Soon it will be our second home so I hope news like this wouldn’t happen again.

CISHAN, Taiwan (CNN) — A typhoon that struck Taiwan and China earlier this month killed more people in Taiwan than previous estimates, the government announced.

At least 376 people are now known to have died when Typhoon Morakot hit Taiwan, Taiwan’s Central Emergency Operation Center said Tuesday. At least 254 people are still missing, and at least 46 people were injured. Emergency services also reported that 60 human limbs had been found, separately from the number of dead and wounded.

Finally, I have my own WordPress blog hosted in the most widely used domain and web hosting by most blogger I know. This is made possible by Dreamhost who gave me this Free Web hosting with Unlimited Bandwidth and Unlimited Space plus a Domain of my own choosing for 2 years.

I have been planning to buy a Dreamhost account but fortunately I can give it a road test first before I start paying their domain and hosting services. If I would pay for this free web host and domain for 2 years it would cost me more than $200, well I don’t have to pay that a lot of money for now that’s why it free!
