Creating Data Accounts for N99i

1. Open Services Menu.
2. Open Data Account.
3. Open GPRS.
4. Create or Edit Data Account and enter the following values:

Globe MMS Data Account for N99i

Account Name: GlobeMMS
APN: mms.globe.com.ph
User Name:
Password:
Auth. Type: Normal

Globe GPRS Data Account for N99i

Account Name: GlobeGPRS
APN: http://www.globe.com.ph
User Name:
Password:
Auth. Type: Normal

Smart MMS Data Account for N99i

Account Name: SmartMMS
APN: mms
User Name:
Password:
Auth. Type: Normal

Smart GPRS Data Account for N99i

Account Name: SmartGPRS
APN: smart1
User Name:
Password:
Auth. Type: Normal

Save the Data Account.

Configuring N99i WAP/GPRS/Internet Services Using the Data Accounts Created

1. Open Services Menu.
2. Open WAP.
3. Open Settings.
4. Open Edit Profile.
5. Create/Edit a Profile and enter the following values:

Globe GPRS Profile for N99i

Rename Profile: myGlobe GPRS
Homepage: http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.asp
Data Account: GlobeGPRS (this data account is the one you have created)
Connection Type: HTTP
Proxy Address: 203.177.042.214
Proxy Port: 8080
Username:
Password:

Smart GPRS Profile for N99i

Rename Profile: SmartGPRS
Homepage: http://wap.smart.com.ph
Data Account: SmartGPRS (this data account is the one you have created)
Connection Type: HTTP
Proxy Address: 010.102.061.046
Proxy Port: 8080
Username:
Password:

6. Save the Profile.
7. Activate the Profile.
8. WAP/GPRS/Internet services now ready to use. In case you encounter errors, double check the Data Account and Profile created. In some cases you need to restart the phone.

Configuring MMS Using the Data Accounts Created

1. Open Messages.
2. Open MMS.
3. Open Message Settings.
4. Open Server Profile.
5. Create/Edit a Profile and enter the following values:

Globe MMS Profile for N99i:

Rename Profile: GlobeMMS
Homepage: http://192.40.100.22:10021/mmsc
Data Account: GlobeMMS (this data account is the one you have created)
Connection Type: HTTP
Proxy Address: 192.040.100.020
Proxy Port: 8080
Username: leave it blank
Password: leave it blank

Smart MMS Profile N99i:

Rename Profile: SmartMMS
Homepage: http://10.102.61.238:8002
Data Account: SmartMMS (this data account is the one you have created)
Connection Type: HTTP
Proxy Address: 010.102.061.046
Proxy Port: 8080
Username:
Password:

6. Save the Profile.
7. Activate the Profile.
8. MMS services now ready to use. In case you encounter errors, double check the Data Account and Profile created. In some cases you need to restart the phone.

You can set your home page to m.yahoo.com to use the mobile version of Yahoo.

Yan nilagyan ko na ng picture. tagal na nga yan kaya mas mura na ngayon yan may mas mga bago na ata at improved models. Maganda at marami din naman siya features lalo na yung dual sim basta wag mo lang ibabagsak hahahaha

are you a postpaid subscriber? I tried this using Smart prepaid account, and maybe you need to insert one sim card first. Sometimes switching from one sim card to another also have conflicts.

Once you’ve set up a ‘data account’ (menu/services) you then need to tell WAP and MMS to use that account, instead of the default one.

another possibility if you are a prepaid subscriber is you have zero balance just like what @knicknacks experienced.

Please I need to download some videos in my mobile N991 China TV but some errors occured during playing. Its invalid format. I used mp4 and 3gp format. How to open some videos and what are the format I am going to use. ?

I use mp4 format with mpeg4 as video codec, 176×144 frame size, 128 video bitrate, 15 video framerate. Try using Any Video Converter software it is free! It can also download online video from youtube, google video, metacafe and nicovideo.
